Frontline Wellness Program
What can I expect?
You will be connected with a clinician from the Frontline Wellness Program. The Frontline Wellness Program provides healthcare, frontline, and first responders with free, confidential, and low-barrier access to brief counselling. The sessions are 50 minutes in length and take place over the telephone or virtually through the computer (whichever you prefer). Discussions often involve a wide variety of topics; from coping with workplace burnout and stress to managing emotions and conflict. Treatment modalities used include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Frequently Asked Questions:
I am currently on a stress leave from my job. Do I still qualify for this program?
Yes, we accept those on any type of leave (eg. stress, medical, parental, etc) from their work. We also accept clients who are students preparing to become frontline, healthcare and first responders (eg. Nursing students, social worker students, etc.).
Do I need to have a mental health diagnosis to receive service?
No, individuals reach out for a variety of reasons; including struggling with burnout, stress, increased irritability, low motivation, etc.
Are evening appointments available?
Yes, we offer appointments both during the day and into the evenings to accommodate those that work Days and/or Shift Work.
What if I am interested in further sessions?
This can be arranged with your clinician during the counselling appointment. Your clinician will work with you to arrange a follow-up appointment if interested.
